  2. Welcome Congratulations Over the first hurdle Students need to start working now… Turning up the heat in April won’t work at AS level

  3. Student Support Mr Darby – Assistant Head for Key Stage 5 Mrs Murray – Assistant Director of Standards in Sixth Form Mrs Brailsford – Sixth Form Administrator 9-2pm Daily

  4. Personal Tutor Groups Campbell – Mrs Owens, Mrs Riley-Gough Dylan – Mrs Walshe, Mrs Rolleston Grey Thompson – Mrs Malster, Mr Young King – Mrs Foster and Mrs Richards McCartney – Miss Phagura and Mrs Lister Picasso – Ms Black, Mrs Wood

  5. Study Arrangements Students in all day until October half term Study flex granted post October half term Students are expected to attend Personal Tutor Time every day until half term. Their attendance, ATL, and progress will be monitored. If the student is meeting all requirements, they will then arrange a set 2-3 days per week to attend tutor period.

  6. Assessment Weeks and Reporting 6th October – Reports home 24th November 26th January Mock Examinations – Reports home 23rd February – Mock exam resits 23rd March – Reports home

  7. Parent Consultation 11/02/14 – 4.30pm-7.30pm Queensbury – 13/11/14 On 11th February all students will receive their mock results

  8. Student Timetables 36-44 lessons per fortnight 24-16 study lessons Study lessons are not free periods Library open daily until 4.30pm GCSE Maths and English – All with a grade D or below should have lessons to attend

  9. Queensbury Buses To Queensbury 8:45 and 9am 11.10 and 11.20 1.30, 1.40 and 1.50 3.15 and 3.30 These buses then return to school

  10. What happens if… Students arrive late for lessons… Student attendance falls… Students do not complete the work… A student is absent…

  11. Summer Examinations First exam will be around 11th May Students don’t have study leave unless both examinations are completed BTEC students continue to attend lessons

  12. Post May Half Term Start Year 13 courses All students continue with all 4 courses Some will have exams in some subjects – Students apply for study leave if required

  13. Activity Week 6th July Monday and Tuesday – Futures Day Wednesday – Enrichment Activities Thursday – University/Business Visits Friday – Subject Enrichment trips

  14. Parent Support Keep us informed of all issues that affect students learning and progress Ensure students do work outside the lessons, attend well and work as hard as they can We will endeavour to keep in contact with you when things go well… And not so well.
