Background Integrated Community Sustainability Plans (ICSP) are a requirement under the Canada-GN Gas Tax Agreement The Gas Tax Fund supports infrastructure that promotes a cleaner environment and produces sustainable communities. GN has committed funds towards water, wastewater and solid waste projects. Extension Agreement: Funding expires March 31st 2014. Funding is 100% Federal Progress Over 30 projects have been initiated to date

PROCESS: ICISP Four Stage Process: Data Gathering Consultation Draft Plan Final Infrastructure Sustainability Plan
STAGE 1: Data Gathering & Analysis Data Gathering Process: Sourcing Data Summary & Analysis
STAGE 2: Community Consultation ICISP Workshops: Active Learning Infrastructure System Profile Prioritize for Sustainability
STAGE 3 & 4: Infrastructure Sustainability Plans ICISP Documentation: Two volume plans Community and NCIAC approval Final ICISP for each community
Outcomes: Future of Infrastructure Sustainability Plans ICISP advances: Municipal Planning Community Awareness Government Planning Processes Private Sector Infrastructure Awareness
Next steps… ICISP’s will be utilized in the annual capital planning process ICISP’s will provide the foundation for the bi-annual community consultation process ICISP’s will provide hamlets with a ‘living document’ and long term planning tool CGS will utilize ICISP’s to populate an infrastructure database
