  2. Jordan is the most peaceful oasis in the Middle East. It offers a wide variety of adventure tours that make it a must visit place like hiking in and around Petra, floating in the giant Dead Sea, climbing the rock towers of Wadi Rum and much more. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is the land of mysteries full of awe-inspiring sights. Jordan unlike its neighbors stands out as a peaceful oasis in the Middle East. What makes Jordan a must visit place is the incredible archaeological ruins, natural and cultural wonders, delicious food and much more. Jordan offers a lot of adventures as well that makes it a perfect destination for travelers looking for adventure tours. Jordan had been home to Nabataeans, Romans and Arabs and hence has a plethora of stories to tell through its several historical sites and museums. Petra and Jerash are the two most important historical sites of Jordan.

  3. Petra: One of the wonders of the world, Petra is the most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction in Jordan. It was the capital of Nabataean kingdom around the 6th century BC. Hiking in Petra is the best way to explore the ancient city. Petra sits in a valley on the Wadi Musa outskirts. Entrance to the city is through the Siq i.e. a narrow gorge which is over 1 km long and bordered on either side by soaring 80m high cliffs. While walking through the Siq you can see the dazzling colors and formations of the rocks creating an amazing experience. Once you reach the end of the Siq you will be able to have a glimpse of the Al-Khazneh (treasury) which is an awe-inspiring experience.

  4. Jerash: Acknowledged as one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world Jerash is the second favorite destination after Petra in Jordan. Jerash is the fine example of formal provincial Roman urbanism that comprises of paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, large public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls pierced by towers and gates.

  5. Wadi Rum: Virtually untouched by humanity Wadi Rum is a breathtaking and eternal place in Jordan. It is described by T.E Lawrence as “vast, echoing and God-like…” It is most famous for its Bedouins and outstanding rock towers (known as Jebels). Navigate through the red karsts, narrow canyons and slide down dunes with a 4X4 desert tour. At the sunset climbing up the jebels and watching the beautiful play of colors is one of the most exciting things to do in Wadi Rum. Also watching Wadi Rum from the sky in the hot air balloon is one of the most amazing experiences one can have.

  6. Dead Sea: Lowest point in the world The Dead Sea is the saltiest sea on the planet. The main attraction of the Dead Sea is the warm, soothing and super salty water that is rich in chloride salts of magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine and several other minerals. It is considered as the major hub of both religious as well as health and wellness tourism in the region. Floating in the Dead Sea is the most appreciated adventures one can experience in Jordan.

  7. Also a number of protected nature reserves can be found in Jordan, most of which are well off the tourist trail that offer some of the best hiking opportunities in Jordan. Two of the major nature reserves are Dana Nature Reserve and Mujib Nature Reserve where hiking is done through the canyons and water streams.
