Community College by the numbers • Fastest growing sector in education. • NC Community College system is the third largest system in the United States. • Wake Tech is the largest community college in North Carolina. • 2016-2017 curriculum enrollment -31,472. • Over the past five years, North Carolina Community College System has grown to the equivalent of a North Carolina State University, Western Carolina University, or the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
