  3. Each campus is allocated space on a high school server and accesses its space via the AISD Wide Area Network. Andrews Blanton Jordan Wooldridge McBee Winn Pecan Springs Dobie Lanier High School’s Server provides server space for 8 other campuses.

  4. ibook Windows Desktop Why Use Server Farms?Staff/Students can save work to and retrieve work from any networked computeranywhere on a campus. Mac Desktop

  5. Why Use Server Farms? Networked Software, e.g. Type to Learn, can be loaded on the server and accessed from any computer. Data files are stored on the server.

  6. Why Use Server Farms? Shared Projects can be stored centrally and accessed. Examples are campus newspapers and other campus collaborations.

  11. How Do We Access the Campus Server? Staff Login Double click the server alias on the Desktop.

  18. How Do We Save to the Campus Server? File>Save As Title Document (Don’t forget file extension!) Where: Desktop>Server alias icon

  19. How Do We Save to the Campus Server? Note that blue bar slides right and left to reveal files and folders.

  23. How Do We Log Out Between Users? Under the blue apple, choose Log Out.

  24. How Does a New User We Log in? Double click the server alias icon. Log in to the server using your user name and password. (You may need to erase the Username in the login window.)
