  1. Gluu Cloud Identity Appliance 1.0 Released Gluu announced version 1.0 of its Cloud Identity Appliance, a solution that enables organizations to quickly deploy a federation saml (SSO) that standardizes how users access both internal and external websites. Using the Gluu appliance, organizations can deploy an unlimited number of SSO endpoints using Linux, or federate with any service providers that support the SAML protocol. “Sharing identity information between organizations has been one of the main impediments to building online, inter-organization communities,” said Michael Schwartz, Founder/CEO of Gluu. “By leveraging open standards such as the idp saml and XRI identifiers we hope the Gluu Identity Appliance will put SSO and data federation within the reach of many more organizations in the education, government, and enterprise markets.” Features of the service include: (1) schema management for SSO; (2) management of trust relationships between an organization and websites; (3) support for participation in single sign on authentication; (4) easy integration with existing identity repositories (5) server configuration management; (6) 24x7x365 monitoring; (7) service level agreement reporting; (8) support for public or private cloud server instances.

  2. The Gluu Cloud Identity Appliance is currently installed in a beta test environment at the University of the District of Columbia. Hakeem Fahm, Director of Information Technology, said “With the Gluu appliance, the University was able to more rapidly deploy our Federated Sso service. By adopting industry standards such as SAML, students, faculty and staff will gain access to valuable online resources.” Article resource:-https://storify.com/gluu/gluu-cloud-identity-appliance-1-0-released
