Agenda • New PGM business analyst/TOM • OneView: Dan Hall 30 minutes • Organizational Hierarchies/Flexible Permissions: Dan Hall 30 minutes • PI manuscripts and Abstract reports in QVR: Dr. Thor Fjellsted 30 minutes • PGM access to draft/pre-journal PI manuscripts in NLM via PGM: Chanath 30 minutes

Access to Draft/Pre-Journal PI manuscripts • The NIH "Public Access" initiative involves establishing a searchable electronic resource of NIH-funded research results and archives of scientific literature, and providing access to appropriate persons • Tasked with providing access to the draft manuscripts to Program staff

  4. Assumptions – Receipt of Manuscripts • NLM will receive manuscripts from the PI • NLM will also receive the PI name(s), author name(s), Grant #(s), & the citation data • PI will verify manuscript submission via NIH Commons • NLM will pass eRA the citation and grant data • The manuscripts will be available over the web and accessible via a URL

Assumptions – Access Rights • Access privileges to manuscripts is TBD • Not available to the outside world • Access to manuscripts available prior to publication in Journals • After publication in Journals, PGM would display the "final" paper • NLM will always provide the latest version of a submission to PGM • Unknown if archived version(s) available via NLM, or if Program needs access to these

  6. How should PGM provide access to manuscripts? • By project • By PI and/or author name • By embargo date

  7. Proposal • Proposal: • Use electronic Grant Folder • Add new section heading for manuscripts/publications • Two sub-sections, organized by • Project • PI Name • Some manuscripts/publications will overlap both sections
