  1. Principal’s Mid-Year Report Ezra Eby Elementary Napoleon Community Schools 2008-2009 Math Achievement Goal

Our Goal School Improvement Goal: (Annual Student Outcome Goal) • All staff members at Ezra Eby Elementary will use MEAP scores in the Numbers and Operations strand to gradually accelerate all Economically Disadvantaged students to a 90% proficient or advanced performance level during the 2009 MEAP testing schedule. Additionally, all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will improve by 10% from pre to post review assessments during the 2008/2009 school year.

  3. Objective 1: Teaching for Learning We will… • Determine the mathematical proficiency of each student through various assessments. What steps have you taken? • Pre/Post Grade Level tests have been created. • Grade Level Pre-tests • Math AR 15 minutes weekly-awards are given upon completion of the skills What specific data have you gathered? • Teachers have recorded skills to reinforce and reteach based on pretests. What are you doing next? • Weekly math test in Grades 3-5 • 2nd grade test beginning 2nd semester • Boot Camp

  5. Objective 2: School and Community Relations We will… Create a mathematically rich environment for all students. What steps have you taken? Math Assembly Monthly Interactive Math Bulletin Specific Data: What are you doing next? Discussion with staff on how to elevate bulletin boards and the number of students who have utilized them. Math Night for K-5 students and families on February 23, 2009. 2nd semester Math Buddies
