  8. Chicken Fried • Listening Guide • Best parts of the songs are the following: • Prelude includes Violin and Guitar and sets the tone for the song • Bridge is the other part that is really remarkable. Violin has a solo breakout moment after a few seconds the guitar picks up as the violin drops out and slows the pace dramatically. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4ujS1er1r

  9. Music History • Whatever it is • This is also from “The Foundation” album • Song was written 10 years ago by Wyatt Durrette and Zac Brown • It was released in January 2009 • Published by Home Grown/Big Pictures/Atlantic Company • Written about a girl Wyatt was in love with. • Title comes form Zac Brown having “Whatever it is” on the stage that draws people into his music

  10. Whatever It Is • Listening Guide • The bridge is again one of the better parts of this song. It comes in more frequently. Mostly violin being played with the melody a higher note than normal • 2nd verse is the other great part of the song, the violin drops out leaving the piano and guitars to harmonize with the vocals. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RJrNnRpVHg

  11. Music History • Colder Weather • This is from the Album “You Get What you Give” • Written by Wyatt Durrett, Zac Brown, Coy Bowles and Levi Lowery about 5 years ago • Released in 2010 • Published by Atlantic/Southern Ground Company • This song is about relationships being impossible due to conflicting schedules

  12. Colder Weather • Listening Guide • The best parts of this song are both the chorus and bridge • The chorus starts out somber and slow in tempo, however as the song progresses it starts to grow in timbre, etc. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oouFE51HcqM

  13. Music History • Violin Intro To Free • From the album “The Foundation” • This is just sheet music , aren’t any lyrics • Written by Jimmy De Martini who actually plays the fiddle

  14. Violin Intro to Free • Listening Guide • This whole prelude is worth listening too. The violins are amazing and the melody line stays within one or two notes the whole time. The timbre grows in the lower pitches. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nbo48fgNQ0Y
