MSJC Office of Instruction F/T Faculty Feedback - July 2008 The purpose of this questionnaire were: To provide the V.P. of Instruction, feedback to determine if the full time faculty were provided with the proper resources & support to meet the mission statement of the Office of Instruction. To utilize the feedback to improve delivery of instructional services. Execution details: Request by: Dennis Anderson, V.P. of Instruction Population: 146 Full-Time faculty Methodology: self-administered mail questionnaire % return : 43% (63 out 146) Date implemented: July 14-Aug 15, 2008 Questionnaire: 20 multiple choice & 4 open ends Mission Statement: The mission of this administrative team is to meet the needs of all students who seek the opportunity to continue on to baccalaureate level institutions, improve opportunities to continue on the baccalaureate level institutions, improve career skills, acquire a certificate or Associate degree or who desire to continue in lifelong learning & enrichment. XCJH 8.28.08 F/T faculty agree that the curriculum development & approval process is efficient & their voice is heard (at least 3 out of 4) however about 1/3 do not agree their input is beingincorporated. About 4 out of 5 faculty do not believe that there are adequate personnel or F/T faculty to sustain a quality program.

XCJH 8.28.08 Only ½ agree that the ‘program review‘ has been adequately explained. 85% or more agree that the Instruction Services, their dean and department is student centered.

XCJH 8.28.08 1/2 or more of the faculty agree that the department does not haveadequate resources to sustain their programs in terms of teaching supplies, classroom equipment and space.

XCJH 8.28.08 8 out of 10 of the faculty are satisfied with promptness of their dean in responding to their needs. 9 out of 10 of the faculty are satisfied the level of support from clerical staff, the VP and the VP leadership.

XCJH 8.28.08 The faculty ( at least 6½ out of 10) are interested in knowing more about the resources and benefits of the LRC, SI, Tech Academy and the T.& L. Academy.
