Purpose of Study • Evaluate IB student performance on SAT and ACT • Determine most IB applied to universities and colleges and IB acceptance rates into these institutions Methodology • Surveys were sent via email to all IB Diploma Program coordinators in the United States. • Responses were received from 6,392 candidates from 131 schools in 29 states.

  3. SAT Results • Respondents’ mean score of 1274 was significantly higher than the average score of the total population. • Diploma candidates’ mean score was significantly higher than the mean score obtained by Certificate candidates.

  4. ACT Results • Respondents’ mean score of 27.1 was significantly higher than the average score of the total population. • Diploma candidates’ mean score was significantly higher than the mean score obtained by Certificate candidates.
