  1. Karen Perkins Third Grade Hi!  I'm Mrs. Perkins, and I've taught at Northwood Hills for going on twenty-two years.. I have a BA degree in Mass Communications/Marketing from Prairie View A&M University and graduate school hours in Business Administration.  I have worked in the field of advertising and marketing for a small advertising agency.  Working closely with the art director instilled a love for creativity and perfection.  What a great experience! Although I loved the field of advertising, I was in love with kids; so I decided to pursue a second degree in elementary education.  I became a certified teacher and found this great school.  NHE is a wonderful place to teach.  The kids here love to learn, and I love teaching them. I'm excited about my new third grade class, and I'm looking forward to having a great year!
