  1. CIS 593: Applied Project Starting a Technology Venture

  2. Focus of this year’s Applied Project • One of the requirements to earn a MSIM is to complete a thesis or a comprehensive exam. • To meet this requirement, we have designed a course that will focus on entrepreneurial opportunities and converting a technology venture into a business.

  3. Modus Operandi • Students will form teams of four. • Teams will be required to develop an idea for a new company and to create a business plan that will count as their thesis substitute.  • As a part of this experience, we’re scheduling three 4-hour sessions that will be held on Saturday mornings. • We’re hoping to bring in leading experts in the various areas of entrepreneurship.
