Dew Point • Dew Point – the temperature when air is saturated (full) with water vapor • Condensation occurs at dew point. • So whenever fog or clouds form, dew point was reached. • Remember “sweat” on the outside of a cold glass? When water vapor came close to the glass, the air around the glass became saturated, reached dew point, and condensed as liquid water on the cold surface of the glass.

  3. Is dew point the same everyday? • Not always—water vapor in the air changes from day to day AND depending on the temperature, the amount needed to saturate changes, too.
