  1. Living BeyondYourself Don’t Waste Your Life!

  2. “And every night I get on my knees and thank the lord above … I just want to live until I die.”

  3. “Does my relationship with Jesus help me in my quest of really living life?”

  4. Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us… Ephesians 5:1

  5. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. Ephesians 5:8-10

  6. 15 Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16

  7. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:17-18

  8. 1. Handle Life With Care 15 Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity… Ephesians 5:15-16

  9. “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”

  10. The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is. C. S. Lewis

  11. 15 Be careful, then how you live … because the days are evil.

  12. Is Christianity optimistic or pessimistic?

  13. Christianity Is Realistic

  14. How are these days evil? 1. Decay We live in a fallen world

  15. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. Romans 8:18-21

  16. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

  17. 2. Darkness We live in the enemy’s world

  18. The Evil Without For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12-13

  19. The Evil Within The age is evil because God allows so much pride and wickedness in the human heart to go unrestrained for now.

  20. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. Ephesians 5:8

  21. 3. Death We live in a dying world

  22. Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned… Romans 5:12

  23. Christ gave himself for our sins to deliver us from this present evil age. Galatians 1:4

  24. 15 Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

  25. ...we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

  26. I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Ephesians 4:1

  27. Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12

  28. 2. Live within your limits

  29. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is Ephesians 5:17

  30. Drunk or Filled? 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery, but be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18

  31. Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise Proverbs 20:1

  32. Wine makes you mean, beer makes you quarrelsome — a staggering drunk is not much fun. Proverbs 20:1(The Message)

  33. The Christian’s source of joy . . . be filled with the Spirit

  34. The work of the Spirit is to impart life, to implant hope, to give liberty, to testify of Christ, to guide us into all truth, to teach us all things, to comfort the believer, and to convict the world of sin. Dwight L. Moody

  35. Do not pray for more of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity and is not in pieces. Every child of God has all of Him, but does He have more of us? F.B. Meyer
