  3. Brest and the CIVITAS initiative A non-demonstration city • A miss opportunity but The CIVITAS declaration signed in 2007 • In connection with French CIVINET cities (Nantes, La Rochelle...) Brest and mobility • A post-war re-built town • Built as a car-friendly city • Tram (1898-1936) and trolleybus (1947-1970) disappeared • A difficult topography (alt. 0-100m) Event  Date  Location  Speaker
