  1. To: Members and Friends IChemE (Singapore Branch) Harbour Cruiseon the ImperialCheng Ho Once again, we’re having our New Year Social Dinner. This time we are having it in a very special way. Come bring your family and friends down to cruise with us on this Traditional Chinese Junk. This ship will leave Clifford Pier and pass the mouth of Singapore River, landing site of Sir Stamford Raffles, founder of modern Singapore. View the magnificent skyline of Singapore City as we sail pass the Eastern Anchorage and the container terminal, one of the busiest in the world. Watch the tug boats, tenderly manoeuvring the ocean liners to their container berths. In the evenings, lights from the ships, there are so many of them, making Singapore appear to have a floating city offshore. We then head for the idyllic Southern Islands resort of Sisters and further south towards the Phillips Channel. Turning back we take a break and stop at the holy island Kusu. Cheng Ho departs at 6.30pm sharp. The cool evening breezes and gentle twilight make this an ideal cruise for a great romantic experience. As the sun sets, you sit down to an international buffet dinner whilst sailing in one of the world’s greatest harbour.
