  2. HISTORY OF THE HILTON LONDON METROPLE • The 91-metre (299 ft) tower is one of the tallest buildings in the city of westminster  and was completed in 1972. A 52-metre (171 ft) tall conference centre was added in 2000, making it the biggest conference hotel in London. It now has 1,058 bedrooms.
