Energy Efficientprogram ESCO • Buildingsoperatedby City of Rovaniemi: • 220 000 m2: 140 publigbuildings (City Hall, Schools, Day CareCenters, ElderlyHomes, NursingCentres, Lappia Theatre and Confrence House, Cultural Building Korundi, etc.), 80 share of stocks in housing, 10 realestatecompanies and 30 otherbuildings • Energy EfficientProgram in Rovaniemi (buildings): • Heating: - 30 % = app. 2 700 MWh/y (annual) • Electricity: - 19 % = app. 970 MWh/y (annual) • Water: - 13 % = app. 5 100 m3/y (annual) • Energy Efficientinvestments (2011 – 2012): • 8 Major Buildings in project (City Hall, Library, Social Center, FireStation, SwimmingPool, Elderly Building, School, Nursing Center) • 2,5 MEur Energy Efficientinvestments • New automatedVentilation Machines • Re-newing of Heating (BatteryNetworkadjusting) • Automation (Ventilation, Lights, etc.)

Example: City hall of Rovaniemi • Rovaniemi City hall: • Built 1986 • CouncilRoom (223 seats) • 9 ConferenceRooms (8-24 seats) • App. 200 Office Rooms • Restaurant • Service Desk • Energy Efficient Project (2011 – 2012): • Ventilation (partly New) and Heating (Batteryadjustment) investments • Automatizedventilation and lighting (automaticallyoff in 15 min) • Goal: • Save in Use of Energy (ventilation and lighting) 20 – 40 %/year
