Students will Learn: • Objectives: • To type a document in Microsoft Word and to save it. • Use the Center button to center text. • Use the Bold button to bold text. • Use the Left Align button to align the text to the left. • Use the Bullets key to create bullets. • Use the Tab key to indent.

  3. Students will Learn: • Insert a picture • Add a frame around a picture • Add a caption • Save a document

  4. Staff Development

  5. Click the Center Tag, to center the heading

  6. Type “Staff Development.”

  7. Highlight the heading

  8. Bold the heading by pressing the “B” button on the left hand corner

  9. Deselect the heading

  10. Press the “Enter” Key and the cursor will go below the title

  11. Press the “Align Text Left” in the top middle of the screen

  12. Deselect the bold key by pressing “B” in the top left hand corner of the screen

  13. Press the “Tab” key on your keyboard to indent

  14. Type “There are 3 branches of government:”

  15. Press the “Enter” key and the cursor will go below.

  16. Press the “Bullets” icon in top of the screen. It is the “A” one. The “B” arrow is the bullet. A B

  17. Type “Executive”

  18. Press “Enter” and it will create another bullet under the word “Executive”

  19. Type “Legislative”

  20. Press the “Enter” key on the keyboard. It will create another bullet underneath the word “Legislative”

  21. Type “Judicial”

  22. Click the enter key to go down a line

  23. Press the Enter key again to create space.

  24. Press the Center key to center

  25. Click Insert to insert a picture.

  26. The Pictures come out

  27. Select 1Obama picture

  28. The picture comes out

  29. Right click the picture & pick the Line Style

  30. Pick 2 points in the Width column

  31. Pick Line Color to add color for the frame of the picture.

  32. Open up Line Color dialog box

  33. Pick the red color

  34. Press the Close button

  35. Right click the picture

  36. Click Insert Caption to add a caption

  37. Caption button comes up. Click Ok with current name.

  38. Caption is added

  39. Go to Office button

  40. Select Save As

  41. Click Word Document

  42. Save As dialog box comes out.

  43. Press the Save button to save it

  44. Final Product
