There are two levels in the grading system: Regular A = 5.0 B = 4.0 C = 3.0 D = 2.0 F = 0 The level of the coursework taken by the student determines the grade point that is derived from the grade made. Grade point averages are based on sum totals of the grade points made divided by the number of classes. Grade point averages vary after each semester. First official class rank is determined by the grade point average (GPA) of all high school credit courses taken up to the fall semester of grade 11.

  19. EXAMPLE OF GRADE POINT AVERAGE CONFIGURATION English I (H/Pre-Ap/GT) 90 6.0 Algebra I (Regular) 90 5.0 IPC (Regular) 89 4.0 W. Geography (H/Pre-AP) 88 5.0 Spanish I (Regular) 92 5.0 Orchestra (Regular) 95 5.0 PE/Found. Of Fitness (Reg.) 100 5.0 • The sum total from grade point is 35.0 • The 35.0 is divided by the number of classes taken • Which is seven, to make a GPA of 5.0
