  2. What makes this poster so powerful? The bold colours • Is it acceptable to use the charity NSPCC in this advert? • Do you agree with this poster? Yes because a father is as important2 as a mother unless there is a good reason to not see the child

  3. What makes this poster so powerful? The egg • Is it acceptable to organise events that will challenge the government and courts? Sometimes if its acceptable • Do you agree that this is a good way of getting peoples attention? Yes, yes I do

  4. What makes these posters so powerful? Because of the contrast in the colours • Is it acceptable to criticise Tony Blair in particular?? • Do you agree with these posters? Sometimes it depends what position the fathers in • Is it acceptable to use other businesses (eg McDonalds) in protests? Only if they have permission • Is it legal to blame one person or use another business in your protests? Does this even matter? If they have permission

  6. Why do people protest? they feel trapped government won't listen cant afford lawyers to represent them feel very strongly Can you think of any more?

  7. Recent demonstrations have occurred in London but have they made a difference? • Do you think there is an argument that protests need an element of danger to be listened to?

Individual Work • Identify an issue that you think is worthwhile campaigning over. • Examples are – Homelessness, local issues, fox hunting, war in Iraq, cruelty to animals • Create a three step plan to protest that gets more radical with each step. • Explain your choices and how you would operate
