  2. Purpose • Construct/Design site-specific, constituent degradation/decay chains • Illustrated the construction of TCE 1,1-DCE VC 2

  3. Open an Existing Constituent Database(outside of FRAMES) Two Options (choose one): • Use the Windows Start button • Start • All Programs • FRAMES • Launch Constituent Editor • Run C:\FramesV1\ContSel.exe 3

  4. 3 1 • Database Editor User Interface appears • Choose File and Open • Choose an Exiting database: FUI_TCE.mdb 2 4

Do not select Constituents of Concern; first, choose Edit Constituent Properties 1 5 3 2 4 • Lists Constituents in Database • Identification: Identifies Constituent, and controls its disposition. • Properties: Provides physical/chemical properties of chemical • Degradation Products: Creates/Edits degradation chain of chemical. • Degradation Chain: Provides a summary of the degradation chain 5

  6. Chemicals are listed alphabetically. • CASID numbers are listed in numerical order. • The highlighted chemical name does • NOT necessarily correspond to the • highlighted CASID. 1 2 6
