Light Control System • Weekly Goal • To deal with several issues • Power supply ripples, RC filter at Vcc, etc. • To finish designing PCB for the LED driver ckt • to be reviewed by Amrita M, John S, and Mike G • To order PCB and misc. ckt components, such as voltage regulators,SMT resistors / capacitors, etc.

Available Light Energy Measurement • Progress from last meeting • Improved the old program on Atmega326 • 3 levels for Visible/IR sensor (TCL2561)8 levels for RGB/Clear sensor (ADJD311),both by adjusting integration time • Prevents saturation overflow / minimize round-off error of obtained data • Also prevents premature & frequent gain change

Available Light Energy Measurement • Problems encountered • Cannot measure direct sunlight • Will focus on indoor energy measurement,including indirect / reflected sunlight • Unknown meaning of output value • Exhaustive experiment & calibration required,over ranges of frequency / intensity • Conversion from output data to irradiance(/intensity) and then to available energy

Available Light Energy Measurement • Weekly goal • To calibrate the board for meaningful information • Sets of measurement over ranges of frequency /intensity required • To find out relationship between gain (integration time) and the output data and calibrate the board • To write Matlab code that can generate meaningful energy data from measurement
