  1. En ANTs H Weekly Progress Report Kanghwan Kim EnHANTs Group July 12th, 2012

  2. Programmable Light • Weekly progress • Designed and made a prototype of PCB case • Similar to those of EnHANTnodes • Weekly goal • Parts to be shipped; should finish re-designing PCB after assembly

  3. Available Light Energy Measurement • Weekly progress • Calculated approximate conversion factor • Using measured spectra and TAOS visible light sensor responsivity • Underestimates irradiance than the old conversion • Reconfirmed reliability of the current setup • Compared output data with those of previous setup • Used old sensor integrated with ADXL board

  4. Available Light Energy Measurement • Calculation of Conversion Factor • Used (nominal) calibrated output from datasheet • 1000 counts / 101ms, @ 640nm, 41uW/cm2 • Normalized responsivity curve by that value • Calculated weighted sum of (normalized) spectra w.r.t. responsivity

  5. Available Light Energy Measurement • Calculation of Conversion Factor

  6. Available Light Energy Measurement • Reconfirmation of Reliability • Data acquired quasi-simultaneously, not strictly under same amount of light (Boards next to each other)

  7. Available Light Energy Measurement • Reconfirmation of Reliability • Data acquired by exposing boards to same irradiance for extended amount of time and averaging the output, not simultaneously, but at the same location Underflow might have happened

  8. Available Light Energy Measurement • Weekly goal • To revise (light source, PV) pair efficiency calculation • To revise algorithms for source determination and intensity approximation using RGB / VIS-IR data • To start long-term measurements using boards
