  2. What Is Self-Management? • A 1-credit course designed to help you complete academic tasks using Behavior Analysis • In other words, Self-Management helps you get rid of the Procrastination Devil that lives inside of you

  3. Why Take Self-Management? - You will see an improvement in academic success - You will become a master at prioritizing - You will learn how to organize - You will complete large goals by breaking them down into simple & easy-to-accomplish tasks

  5. What Are You Responsible For? • Complete academic tasks each week • Turn in a form describing the tasks you accomplished • Provide proof of task completion • Examples: • Task: Study for PSY 4600 quiz • Proof: Bring in notes from relevant chapters and flashcards

  6. Non-academic Project • You will also do a non-academic project • This project will benefit the quality of your life outside of school • In the past, students have: • Quit smoking • Lost 30 pounds

  8. Mario: Well, Princess… that sounds like a lot of work! I don’t think this course is for me. Princess: Actually, it isn’t a lot of work. You should already be doing work for your other classes, right? Princess: Even if you are on top of your game, there is always room for improvement. Princess: Everyone from “A” students, to professional slackers benefit from Self-Management. Princess: Plus, students who take Self-Management are eligible for a letter of recommendation from Dr. Malott. Mario: Wow! I’m sold! How do I sign up?
