  2. Verb Tense Verbs can be written in one of three tenses: • past tense • present tense • future tense (click here to see the video)

  3. A verb in the present tense shows action that happens now. • Storm cloudslingerabove the mountains. • A river of rainsweepsthe sky.

  4. A verb in the past tense shows action that has already happened. The past tense of a verb usually ends in ed. • Yesterday a gentle fog settled down in the village. • It touched us all with its powdery mist.

  5. The verbsin our sentences change when we talk about what has already happened. I walk to school I walked to school I jump on my bed I jumped on my bed Move on.
