  3. Operation Study is a university-wide initiative designed to re-invent the academic experience by establishing a campus culture that expects and supports high motivation and academic achievement of Clayton State students. OVERVIEW

  4. The overall purpose of Operation Study is to positively impact student retention and persistence toward degree completion. PURPOSE

  5. Define “college-level studying,” and teach students effective study strategies. • Establish “studying” as a campus-wide expectation by all faculty, staff, and students. • Identify incentives that increase classroom performance and encourage studying. • Partner with campus academic support services to promote effective study habits and strategies. • Incorporate “study efforts” with other University retention initiatives. GOALS

  6. Presentations to various campus administrative, faculty, staff, and student groups. • Website, Laker Lines, Emails, Swan Portal • Posters, Yard Signs, Table Tents, and T-shirts • Welcome Week activities • New Student Orientation • Faculty Syllabi • Open House Marketing Strategies

  7. Campuswide reminders to study • “Study Bucks” program for bookstore rewards • Other incentives and rewards • “Study Tips” handouts, posters and bookmarks • Late-night Study Sessions • Academic Workshops Tentative activities
