International Agreements • Facilitate, develop, negotiate, continue international agreements • Currently implementing/tracking students for • Undergraduate Computer Science “2+2” with Wuhan University • Admission facilitation • ESL • Credit transfer and grade equivalency • Gen Ed Equivalency • IPA • Graduate GIS, Economics, “4+1” with Wuhan University • Admission facilitation • Credit transfer • IPA

  7. Student Intern – J Exchange Visitor • Purpose • Expose intern to “American techniques, methodologies, and technology” • NOT employment, only work-based learning • Focus and Nature • Does not have to be in the field of study, but must fulfill educational objectives (current degree) • No more than 20% clerical work • May be paid or unpaid

Student Intern – J Exchange Visitor • Duration • Internship must be full-time (minimum of 32 hours/week) • May participate in a program up to 12 months for each degree/major • Eligibility • Currently enrolled in and pursuing a degree program outside the U.S. • Verifiable English language skills • In good academic standing and must return to home country to finish the degree program

International Agreements • Monitor on a semester basis • Financial Aid (International Partnership Awards) • GPA, # of credit hours • Communicate with academic advisors • Communicate with OIS in case of • Students taking fewer credit hours than visa allows • Emergency withdrawals • Facilitate faculty and student travel to overseas partner institutions
