  1. Student Employee Board 2013-14

Mission • The mission of the Student Employee Board is to unify the various program areas of the Campus Recreation Department by creating opportunities for involvement and providing resources to foster future career endeavors for the student staff. We represent the Department of Campus Recreation throughout the University ethically and responsibly, while promoting program areas around campus and in the community.

Representatives and Position Title • Brent Wegscheider, GA for Facilities and Operations – President • Matt Hickethier, GA for Outdoor Pursuits – Treasurer • Robert Pulliam, GA for Fitness and Wellness – Coordinator of Networking • Sara Beamish, Website Manager – Secretary • Natalee Gonzalez, IM and Building Supervisor – Coordinator of Professional Development • Jordan Grindeland, IM, Building, and Club Supervisor – Coordinator of NIRSA • Anna Staszewski, Lifeguard – Coordinator of Community Service • Tanner Thorpe, Program Assistant Custodial – Coordinator of Staff Recognition • Vince Carter, Associate Director – Full-time Staff Advisor • Mallory Jordan, Coordinator of Club Sports – Full-time Staff Advisor

  4. Brent Wegscheider - President • Born November 9th in Denver, CO • Lived in Colorado his whole life and graduated from Golden High School • Threw out the first pitch at a Colorado Rockies game • Captain of high school basketball team for his Junior and Senior seasons, also captain of the high school tennis team his Senior year • Employee of the Month at the CRC in March 2011 • Student Employee of the Year nominee for UNC 2011-12 • Received Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Elementary Education, and currently working towards a Masters in Sports Administration • Member of the Inaugural Student Employee Board

Sara Beamish - Secretary • Born August 8th in New Mexico • Lived in Colorado since she was 5 years old and graduated from Thompson Valley High School • State champion in cheerleading in 2009 • Raised $1,000 for homeless shelters before Thanksgiving in 2012 • Voted “Most techy” for her sorority • Member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and currently working on social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) for the Campus Recreation Center

  6. Matt Hickethier - Treasurer • Born July 23rd in Denver, CO • Grew up in Parker, CO and graduated from Chaparral High School • Played baseball, football, rugby, and wrestling throughout high school • Spent four years in the U.S. Marines after high school • Received Bachelor’s degree from UNC in Recreation and Tourism with a minor in Outdoor Education, currently working on Master’s in Sports Administration • Received multiple overseas deployment medals, Combat Action ribbon, National Service Medal, and Good Conduct medal • Presented at the School of Natural Health’s research fair • Played for Club Rugby, assisted in event planning for the RTH program, and helped build the Outdoor Pursuits program

Jordan Grindeland – Coordinator of NIRSA • Born March 25th in Laguna Hills, CA • Lived in Colorado since he was 10 years old and graduated from Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch, CO • Majoring in Business Administration – Management, Minor in Non-profit Administration • Enjoys golfing and longboarding • 2013-14 NIRSA CO/WY Student State Representative • Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Scholar • NIRSA Student Member, Monfort College of Business Management Club Member, Conscious Capitalism Student Member, and Volunteer Coach for Boys & Girls Club of Weld County • Works with the Center of International Education, helped with Family and Friends 5K race, and Relay for Life Campus Recreation Center team member

  8. NataleeGonzalez – Coordinator of Professional Development • Born October 17th in Raton, New Mexico • Grew up in Westminster, CO and graduated from Northglenn High School • Basketball captain senior year of high school and involved with Student Council throughout high school • Coached middle school students in basketball and softball • Earned Intramural Sports program MVP last year • Involved with the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Center on campus • Enjoys new challenges, communicating with and assisting patrons, and working with a great staff here at Campus Recreation

Robert Pulliam Jr. – Coordinator of Networking • Born June 23rd in Granbury, TX • Graduated from Longmont High School and youngest of seven siblings • Former Kung Fu instructor • 7 time Kersner Scholar award winner (Holding a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher) • UNC Student Employee of the Year nominee in 2013-13 • Member of Pre Health Club, Delta Tau Delta, Golf Club, MMA Club, Phi Sigma Pi, Order of Omega, Inter Fraternity Council, and Navigators

  10. Tanner Thorpe – Coordinator of Staff Recognition • Born July 21st in Johnstown, CO • Grew up in Johnstown and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2012 • Very involved with the community through volunteer work and working with the school district • Coaches youth track • State qualifier in both track and cross country, as well as, in FBLA and Knowledge Bowl • Academic All-Conference award winner in track and cross country • Perfect attendance all through high school

  11. Anna Staszewski– Coordinator of Community Service • Born May 18th • Graduated in 2011 from Air Academy in Colorado Springs • Made the Dean’s list throughout high school, while also competing as a state swimmer • Made the University of Northern Colorado’s Academic Distinction list the last two years • Got accepted into the UNC Nursing Program within her first application year • Involved with the Student Nurses Association
