NCSA Project outputs“original in project document” • Three stocktaking & gap identification reports of the three thematic areas: • Desertification. • Biodiversity. • Climate change. • Synergy and prioritization report. • In-depth studies report. • Capacity Development Action plan. -------------------------------------------- • Management of PMU • Awareness raising (Bezra and others)

  4. 2) What did we achieve? • Three thematic reports ( biodiversity- climate change – desertification). • Nationalization of MDG 7. • Synergy and prioritization report. • In-depth studies of 5 cross cutting capacity constrains ( draft ready for consultation) . • Implementation of Bezra summer/school campaign. • Development of CB2 project proposal “mainstreaming of the global environment in national development plans and policies by strengthening the monitoring and reporting system for multilateral environmental agreements in Egypt”

  5. 3) Where we are now? • Consultation of in-depth studies Review of in-depth studies by panel of advisors • Development of the action plan . • Two consultation workshops (National & Donors) for discussion of the action plan. • High level endorsement of the action plan. • Preparation of Environmental awareness campaign (Protecting our Global Environment – our right) in cooperation with El Sawy culture Wheel.

  6. 4) How we intend to end? • Finalizing & printing of the in-depth studies report (end of May 2007) • Production of the capacity development action plan that links the 3 conventions with possible funding sources ( end of july – August 2007) • Conduct & evaluate the Environmental awareness campaign with El Sawy culture Wheel ( end of june 2007) . • Production of NCSA process report (final project report indicating the experience & lessons learned)( September 2007).
