Textbook adoption • Please review both hard copy and electronic resources and complete rubric. • Some resources are still in development. • Carnegie will have electronic preview materials for Analytic Geometry in early spring • Walch materials for Analytic Geometry are under construction.   8. Assessment reminder • For 2012-13 and 2013-14, the format of the EOCTs will remain the same. • Assessments beginning in 2014-15 will contain constructed response and performance-based items. • Preparation for these assessments are critical. Coweta Committed to Student Success

  10. Common Core State Standards • Focus on students learning how to think, not just doing by rote memorization or quick scan-reading, and • Set higher expectations on student comprehension and their ability to articulate their knowledge. Coweta Committed to Student Success

OAS formative assessment bank • Aligned to CCGPS for Math and ELA in Grades 3 – High School • Format similar to PARCC’s Common Assessments prototypes • In other words, items/tasks are more rigorous and require students to show what they know and how they know it • Rubrics and anchor papers will be provided Coweta Committed to Student Success

  13. OAS formative assessment bank • About 1700 formative classroom assessment items • About 750 items available in OAS in November 2012 • Remainder in Fall 2013 • DOK targets • DOK 2; 19% • DOK 3; 41% • DOE 4; 39% Coweta Committed to Student Success

Interim benchmarks • Items will be created in four formats • Multiple Choice • Short Answer • Extended Response • Performance Assessment • Preponderance of DOK 3 and 4 • Phase 1 Pilot to begin in spring 2013 and winter 2014 • Items and benchmark assessments will be uploaded to the Georgia OAS at Level 3 beginning of Fall 2013 Coweta Committed to Student Success
