  3. WHAT IS CEP? • CEP is a process to provide all Lions with ways to strengthen their club, both in member involvement and community involvement • CEP consists of two parts: • Member Survey • Community Assessment

  4. MEMBER SURVEY • Essentially, is finding out, and acting upon, what members think about the club environment and club operations • Survey is simple, direct, and tailorable • Survey should be conducted at the beginning of the Lion’s Year • Survey should be given to new member after six-moths in the club

MEMBER SURVEY • Survey Topics: • Club Meetings • Membership • Club Activities • Personal Satisfaction • Can add specific questions - “how often should we have a program – once a month, every other month, other?” • Always include a comment box so members may add anything they deem important relative to the topic

  6. MEMBER SURVEY • Conduct during a dinner meeting • SCORE: 0 = NEVER 4 = ALWAYS TIMELY FEEDBACK ACTION PLAN/FIXES

COMMUNITY ASSESSMENT • Essentially, is looking within your service area to identify possible activities, events to change, conduct, support, and organizations to partner • Four assessment focus areas: • What kind of volunteer services your area needs • Which projects and programs are important to the people in your area • Are your club’s service projects still needed in your area • Are other organizations in your area providing similar services • All members are involved • Know your club’s resources and capabilities
