Participants can log-in at meetings, receive meeting reminders, breastfeeding tips, baby growth information Host can keep track of participation, and be more interactive with clients by collecting follow-up data Breastfeeding groups can keep track of those who miss meetings by sending follow-up questions/updates through the app FUTURE APP CAPABILITIES 3

App Development Support Host Priorities:Collecting Data & Reporting Among hosts, 83% are very interested in collecting data, while 12% will reconsider collecting data in the future Over 70% of hosts are unsatisfied with current data collection methods If given ability to collect data through the app, 67% of hosts are willing to pay a subscription fee, while 30% answered maybe 4

App Development Support Host Priorities: Collecting Data & Reporting Hosts are interested in reporting outcomes, such as breastfeeding outcomes (98%), attendance and retention rates of club (88%), and pregnancy/breastfeeding status (80%) Hosts reported many ways they would like to use data, with the highest three areas in: program improvement (98%), communicate successes/opportunities with stakeholders (83%), and to obtain funding (78%) 5 *Multiple responses allowed

Things to consider when developing Application • Participants would like… • To receive reminders regarding local breastfeeding club meetings, breastfeeding tips, and information related to the growth of their baby • To answer periodic follow-up questions through the app • To check-in via social media through the app • Hosts would like…. • The ability to gain necessary information from participants to increase personal value of club meetings (i.e. Breastfeeding/ pregnancy status, referral opportunities, support system at home, benefits of attending group etc.) • To follow-up with participants that may have missed meetings or dropped from the program • To collect information at the first visit, 1 month after visit, 3 months after visit, 6 months after visit, and 1 year after visit • To easily produce a report through the app • The app subscription should be $40 or less per month for club host 11
