Entering Units of competency – Transition Hospitality

  • For the Hospitality transition you need to select the new qualification

  • Where a student has achieved a unit of competency in 2013 / old Qualification SIT20207 and it is equivalent to the new unit, it is entered and marked as Credit Transfer in the outcome status.

  • If the unit was not achieved in 2013, it MUST be entered as the new unit code and name for 2014, understanding that most have new names and codes.

  • If unit is not equivalent to the New Qualification the trainer/teacher MUST ensure that the HSC content for the old and the AQF requirements have been delivered and assessed for the new qualification.

Selecting a RTO

  • The AIS is the RTO for most courses delivered in AIS Schools:

  • Business Services,

  • Construction Pathways

  • Early Childhood

  • Electro technology

  • Entertainment

  • Financial Services

  • Hospitality

  • IDT

  • Metal & Engineering

  • Primary Industries

  • Retail

  • Tourism.

  • Some VET Courses are delivered by external RTOs. For example; MTA for Automotive.

  • When entering your VET Competency units you need to select the correct RTO. A school can select more than ONE RTO, but will need to select one as the default – usually the most commonly accessed RTO.
