  1. JACK’S TALES OF HIS PIRATE ADVENTURES!! Jack Plank Tells Tales Natalie Babbitt SLIDES BY: GAVIN

  2. 1 Cup of Plot • The story is about a pirate who is no longer a pirate. He was “kicked out” for not being good at plundering. Now he is living with a few other characters that you’ll learn about in the next slide. He tries to find a job, but he didn’t like any of the jobs available. So he told stories about why he doesn’t like them. AND THEN COMES THE ENDING. ????

  3. 2 Teaspoons of CHARACTER MAIN CHARACTORS CHARACTER 1: Jack Plank CHARACTER 2: Nina CHARACTER 3: Mrs. DelFresno -------------------------------------------------------- Jack was a pirate who was “kicked out”. He is now living with Nina and Mrs. DelFresno and two other character's. He is a very kind man who has a very big heart, he's honest and very mature ( unlike a pirate). ------------------------------------------------------------------------Mrs. DelFresno is a kind helpful women. She doesn’t have a job but, she is getting paid by Jack- a shilling a day. MRS.DELFRESNO JACK PLANK

  4. 2 Tablespoons of EXCITEMENT One of the most exciting parts was, when Jack’s pirate mate was crabbing with Jack and a crab clipped onto his beard. It wouldn’t come off. Then, a guinea pig was being chased by a wild boar, and ran up to the pirates beard. It wouldn’t come off . He kept shaking and shacking and it just wouldn’t come off. So he just shaved. (But he kept the guinea pig as a pet.) That’s what I think was the most exciting part.

  5. Mix thoroughly and bake. When cool, frost with special icing: • A. ½ Cup of Opinion: I enjoyed the stories that Jack told. I liked them because, they were exciting and HI GAVIN, sorry- funny. What I didn’t care for was that Jack kept denying the jobs that were available.

  6. Mix thoroughly and bake. When cool, frost with special icing: • B. 1 Teaspoon of Recommendation: I think my mom would like this the book. I think she will because, she loves to read and there little stories inside that Jack tells.

  7. Finally sprinkle your own connection: • A connection is when Jack was telling a story about his friend and a troll. Jack’s friend helped the troll. He gave him ideas. Like to move to a bridge instead of land. It’s like what happened to me once. My friend helped me with my batting stance.
