  1. I remember my first days in preschool being some of the happiest days in my childhood. I was so excited to meet new friends and experience new things I could hardly contain myself. I was instantly comfortable in every surrounding I was placed in. I would often get sent to time out for laying on my back during story time and not sitting still like all the other kids during lessons. I had so much energy but no way to channel it towards education. 10 6  With my ruffle socks and rolley backpack in hand I entered Lynnwood Elementary, officially a big girl on the road to greatness. I spent my third and fourth grade years with an unforgettable teacher named Mr. White. He had a strictness that allowed for organized learning in a stable environment. He taught in a way that everyone could benefit and I loved every minute of having him as a teacher. I was crazy and excited about every element of school, yet he managed to control me in a way that I felt cared for rather than an annoyance. I entered high school with goals of being popular and making it on the best dressed list in the year book. I instantly found myself in an unstable relationship where I quickly abandoned all aspirations for college or hopes of becoming who I once new I could be. I failed out a couple classes and refused to put in the work I was capable of. Late around my sophomore year I attended a swim practice where I found a way to relieve stress and channel all my pent up energy. By joining the team I was forced to make grades and become a role model for those younger than me. I was elected captain and I spent everyday till graduation helping others as well as myself work on building a bright future. With energy and passion still in my veins I greet each new class year as an opportunity to learn something and grow as a leader. I live by the quote “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader”(John Green) Having traveled the world teaching and experiencing new cultures I know that I give nothing but the best to each new learner I encounter. I accepted every challenge and tried to learn a lesson from every experience. I hit a few rough patches my freshmen year but it allowed me to find my values and challenge my strength. I tried new classes and found my passion. I quickly fell absolutely in love with my career choice and literally found myself skipping to T &L 301 my sophomore year. I knew that as a teacher I could help students channel their energy to reach their true potential   31
