TIJUANA MINISTRY July 12 – 19, 2014 • We have selected 2 complete house projects and 3 shell structure projects for our 2014 Construction program. • Plan is to start the two houses and one shell structure on Monday, then begin the other shells on Wednesday. • Construction Team Leadership: • Bob Malone, Construction Director • Jesse Perez, Construction Coordinator • Rick Lindahn, Material Coordinator • Chris Sutherlin, House Lead • Frank Fanger, Junn Umali, House Leads • Bob Malone, Ann & Mike Yadlowsky, Shell #1 Leads

Project 1: Complete House Virginia Medrano Arreola (28 years old) and Arnulfo Hernandez Sanchez (33), with 7 children: Ana Maria (10), Yuridia Lizbeth (9), Luz Elena(13), Leonardo (8), Allison Lucero (2), Mireya Jazmin (5), Candi (5 mo). Arnulfo does not have constant work and Virginia is at home with the children. We will be building a complete house for them. Reside in Terrazas I area.

  4. Project 2: House Shell Jesus ManuelitaSaucedaHeras (36) and Juan Manuel Chinchillas Parra (37), with 3 children: Jesus Manuel (16), Javier Eduardo (11), Valeria Guadalupe (8). They both work in factories and make about $130 total a week. Their previous house burned to the ground and are currently living in a make-shift home. They have several goats and currently make cheese to sell at the local market for additional income. Reside in Terrazas II area.

  5. Project 3: House Shell Diana Jaseelhit Chavez Salazar (26) and Rafael Moises Lora Gameros (26), with 3 children: Xiomara Jaseelhit (9), Kimberly Mareli (6), Abril (2). Husband's sister, Lizbeth (21), also lives with them. Rafael works as an assistant electrician with a weekly salary ~$90 and is usually out of town. Diana is in training as a stylist and at home with the children. Reside in Terrazas I area.

  6. Project 4: Complete House Martin & Maria del Rosario with 4 children: Carmen (3 months), Citlali (9), Maria del Carmen (22), Jesus (28). The father suffered a heart attack and is now disabled and in a wheel chair. The walls of the house are disintegrating, and the structure is falling off the foundation. The roof is inadequate, has gaping holes, and is covered in tarps to help keep the rain out. Reside in Terrazas I area.

  7. Project 5: House Shell • Isabel Castaneda & husband with 3 children: Jose (15), Carmen (14), and Efrain (12). • Family living in one structure which they have built themselves. • This is a very industrious family who will be able to complete the house on their own.
