  1. Videogame Math For Grades 1-3 By Joshua West

  2. Introduction • Classes will play videogames to add and subtract scores, coins, lives, ect. • Students will then put together charts to show how they did. • Class will post scores using the webquest site to see how they did against other classes.

  3. Teacher Page • Help students keep scores on a chart in the classroom. • Use the website www.triplesandus.com/80/80s_games/arcade.html to find games suitable for the age group. • Let each student play the game or level three times.

  4. Teacher Page Continued • May need to download program to play games. • Remember to let student create their own chart so that they can express themselves. • Students will be known as “Gamers!”

  5. The Quest! • Gamers, you are on a quest to get the ultimate score • Gamers will play the game and write down the score, lives, ect. that the teacher wants recorded.Remember to ask your teacher. • Gamers will compare the numbers to add and subtract numbers. • Gamers will post numbers on charts. • Gamers will continue process for a few days while playing new games that the teacher chooses.

  7. Finally • The gamers will compare points from all of the games played in the past few days and add up scores to get the final class score. • The class will post score on the webpage site to see how they did against others classrooms around America
