  2. TED’s mission: Spreading ideas. • They believe very deeply in the power of ideas to change: attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. So what they're building here is a clearinghouse that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world's most inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other.

  3. This site, launched April 2007, is an ever-evolving work in progress, and we're an important part of it.

  4. The Speakers • Everyone who gives a talk sponsored by TED are all people who are excited about what they are doing, how they are doing it, and they want you to know about it!

  5. The Environment! • There are many, many talks on environment, technology, science, culture. Its hard not to find a video that you would enjoy!

  6. The Homepage It changes very often!

  7. TED… • TED is a small nonprofit devoted to ideas worth spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. • Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences -- the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh UK each summer -- TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Project and Open TV Project, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.
