  1. Top 4 Ways to Drive Interest into Kid’s Football Classes It is an admitted fact that children love sports more than anything else; some children will go to school regularly not out of love for studies but out of love with sports. Engaging a child into any kind of light & fun activity is essential to promote both the physical & mental growth. Allowing your child to learn football not only has an added health benefit but also provides the child with a source of joy & entertainment. The child will learn to enjoy the sport & will automatically take an interest in learning the new skill. But unlike adults, children can easily lose out interest if they find the sport to be boring. Driving attention & interest of the children is an overwhelming task, not only for sports but studies too! But if you know the correct way to make the classes interesting, you will surely have positive results. Let us look into some tips on how to make children’s football classes interesting:

  2. 1. Being silly is OK- Always remember that the children are not adults & so if you become extremely serious with them, you can suffer adverse consequences. As a coach, sometimes deliberately make mistakes & rectify them so that the children may have a brief moment of fun as well as learn from the mistake. As a warmup practice, you can get the kids to gently throw the ball at each other or get them to play a fun game with the football so that they become more interested to play with the ball in a different way. 2. Avoid losing balance- Football lessons are all about maintaining a healthy balance. By the word balance, it refers to 2 types- first, maintain a balance in making the lessons enjoyable as well as educational. Second, don’t bestow all your care & attention to those who fare well in the game but also give more care to those who are lagging behind. 3. Strive for equality- The more the number of children, the more will be their preferences. In other words, different children have different sets of likes & dislikes; a game that one child enjoys to play may not be enjoyable for the other three. In that case, think of a game that will be commonly liked by all & go for these games as a warmup exercise. Also don’t forget to participate in it yourself & that will drive more interest & urge to play in the children when they’ll see their coach is also playing. 4. Forget about silence- With children all around you, forget about them being absolutely silent; with their high energy levels, it is completely useless to wait for them to become silent. Children at their primary age are always effervescent & bubbly in nature; encourage their agile nature in learning more attentively instead of constantly telling them don’t do this & that. Allow them to think & come up with quirky but relevant decisions & by doing so, you will enable the children to have decision-making power at the cost of promoting their creative talent. Following these tips will help you to instill interest in the soccer lessons & prevent the class from becoming boring & mundane.
