  2. At the library homepage, click “Databases, A-Z” and chooseRefWorks. At the Villanova authorization screen, log in with your Villanova email ID and password.

  3. At this screen, click “Sign up for a new account,” and follow the instructions.

  4. Follow the steps to register for an individual account. You may use your Villanova ID and password or another ID and password of your choice. Just remember whatever ID or password you choose! You may register with your Villanova email account or with another. You will receive an email from RefWorks with important information. It is strongly recommended that you save this email!

  5. At t At the next screen, create your first folder. Name it for the paper or research project you are about to do. Click “Create.” At the Congratulations screen, click “Folder” and then "Create New Folder.” Name your folder for your search topic. You may create as many folders in RefWorks as you like -- one for each course or assignment, or whatever way you want to organize your research.

  6. To see and open the folders you’ve created, click “View” then “View folder.” Then choose the folder you wish to open. As you export citations into RefWorks, move them from the” “Last imported” folder (where they will go by default) to the folder that you choose.

  7. You will always access RefWorks the same way: • Click the RefWorks link at the library homepage and log in first login with your Villanova ID and password. • 2.
