  1. Below are the evaluation criteria which Crew 1717, Aquia Outpost, will use to select Venturers for induction into the CoD. Venturing Corps of Discovery 1.Venturer should have completed an ILSC or Kodiak (Event, Date), shows Service to Scouting through personal leadership development, 2. and has provided Service to Scouting and leadership above the Venturing Recognition Program in at least 2 of the following areas: a. - As a Venturer, have Served as staff in (2) District or Council level Camporee's b. - As a Venturer, have Served as lead coordinator or staff for (2) major crew service projects (as defined by the Advisor) c. - As a Venturer, have Served on staff at (2) CS Day Camps, or as a volunteer for 2 weeks at a BS Camp d. - As a Venturer, have Worked as support staff for (1) Kodiak Course Directors' Conference e. - As a Venturer, have Served as a Den Chief for a period of 1 year 3. and has provided Service to Community and leadership above the Venturing Recognition Program in at least 2 of the following areas: a. - As a Venturer, have worked as a coordinator or staff for (2) crew sponsored/initiated service endeavors (example – Conservation project for 50 miler, participation in a service project started by another crewmember for a conservation elective) b. - As a Venturer, have worked individually as a coordinator or staff for (2) individual (not crew sponsored/initiated) service endeavors (example - Working Habitat for Humanity projects or for "New Orleans Recovery”) c. - As a Venturer, have worked as a coordinator or staff for (2) Chartered Organization sponsored/requested service endeavors (example – cleaning/repair of church, participation in a service project started by sponsoring org like feeding hungry, etc.) 4. And has exhibited the desire, tendency, or potential to continue to provide service to Scouting and the community in the future (Subjective-discussion and vote)
