  1. Initial Concept for Multi Camera VideoProduction CDME By Lauren, Sian, Millie, Jodie, Heather, Rob and Gabriel

  2. Overview • We are going to create a cookery programme lasting for approx.10 mins explaining how to create a simple student meal • The content of the show will involve either a a single presenter/ chef or two people taking on each role separately • We will be aiming the programme at students and young adults aged 18-25 • We would pitch the idea as a a advert filler on channels like E4 as their main target audience is mostly young adults. We have also thought about making it a series e.g. starter, main, pudding and broadcasted around late afternoon/early evening

  3. Shooting Script • We have come up with a rough shooting script explaining the steps and progression of how to make the food item. • Some of the shooting script will need to be just filled by comments and conversation about the theme but the time plan and schedule will need to be kept to as it needs to fill the 10 min slot

  4. Floor Plan • We are planning on moving the Multi Camera kit into a cookery room in the University of Worcester (which we have been given permission to use) • The back of the cookery room will be used for the shoot as there are multiple cookers and plenty of surface space • This way there will also be enough room for the 3 Camera and also allows us to use a nearby room to store the Sound Mixer and Visual Mixer equipment

  5. Risk Assessments • As we will be moving the equipment to another location, and because of the dangers involved in a cooking environment, a risk assessment is COMPULSORY • These include risks such as: Mechanical Hazards, Physical Hazards e.g. slips trips and falls, Manual Handling and Electrical Hazards • Risk Assessment sheets have been located on the DAC laptops • This will help us to see which risks we are likely to face and the safety precautions we will need to take in preventing them from happening

  6. Graphics and Sounds • We want to make the show look as realistic as possible and so would like to include opening and closing graphics to the show/ credits ,maybe include some music? • We also want to produce a logo for the show that we can design and use ourselves • Maybe use graphics to show the list of ingredients used in the show and the quantities of ingredients

  7. Schedule Plan • We have also thought about contingency time incase things go wrong • ‘Practice attempts’ to see how long it takes to make the food ( this will then also help us make our script more precise)and to experiment with shots and angles so the camera men • We will have to re locate and move the equipment the might before as It will take approximately 1hr 30mins to take down and about 2 hrs to set back up

  8. Roles • Camera: Rob, Millie, Heather • Director: Lauren • Vision Mixer: Sian • Sound mixer/Graphics: Jodie • Floor Manager: Gabriel
