  1. Magnets and Electricity By Joshua Abraham

  2. Magnets The two ends of a magnet are called the poles and it has a magnetic field that attracts metal and the ends are where the magnets are at its strongest.

  3. Magnets Earth is like a giant bar magnet with a north pole and a south pole. It is magnetic, so on a compass the north end always points to the north pole.

  4. Magnets The north and south pole can attract each other with the opposite sides, so if it is south and south or north to north it will repel. Only if it is north and south will it attract.

  5. Electricity Electricity is the flow of charged particles moving to one place going to another.

  6. Electricity An electric charge can build up by rubbing two objects together which is static electricity. It also happens when you rub your head against a balloon.

  7. Electricity Atoms are made of even tinier particles called electric charges. There are two electric charges: positive charges and negative charges. Here`s something to know - when you rub your feet against the carpet you are negatively charged and when you touch a door knob you get a shock.

  8. Electric currents An electric circuit is the path that a electric current takes. If you want to have the circuit go around, you must have it closed.

  9. Electric currents Conductors are anything that will let electricity go through and there are insulators that are objects that won`t let electricity go through it.

  10. Electric currents There is something that will turn chemical energy into electric energy. This thing is called an electric cell.
