  4. Troop Coordinator Complete Fall Product training Conduct girl and parent training and distribute materials Enter troop product and recognition orders online. Submit all necessary magazine paperwork to your Service Area Coordinator at product delivery Distribute products to girls Collect and deposit money Submit Outstanding Balance and Permission Forms to local service center by December 2, 2013

  5. Girl/Parent Training A training presentation is available to utilize for your troop’s training. You can access it at getyourgirlpower.org You can also utilize the Fall Product Monthly Patch program as well as financial literacy patches for each age level in the Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting

  7. Who is Eligible to Participate? All registeredgirls who do not have an outstanding debt to their troop or GSCI Must have signed parent permission form

  9. Girl Packet Each girl will receive a packet that has a candy/nut order card, QSP information, and an address booklet

  11. Available Candy and Nut products • 14 delicious candy and nut items (Please enjoy your samples!) • Review the order card for pricing and nutritional information • Make a copy of each girl’s order card in case one is lost!

Adopt-A-Soldier program • Opportunity to give back to our military troops serving overseas • Customer indicates their $5 donation under the ”Adopt-A- Soldier” column on the order card to purchase QSP magazine vouchers or nuts for military • GSCI partners with State Farm for this great community service opportunity

  13. Address Booklets • For friends and family not contacted during the program • Given opportunity to buy magazines • Names and addresses not rented or sold • It takes about 10 minutes to complete • Girls complete one booklet • Personalize with a P.S. note

  14. QSP Magazine Direct Sale Option • Customers will choose the magazines they want and fill out the order card. • ALL information must be filled out, including girl and troop information • The pink copy is given to the customer upon payment • Yellow and white copies stay with the troop leader

QSP Online Orders • Participants visit the GSCI website at getyourgirlpower.org and choose the Blue “QSP/Nut Online Program” • An account will need to be set up using a valid email address • Girls complete a short goal setting activity and personalize their landing page with a personal goal, optional photo, and message

QSP Online Orders(continued)Sending emails to family and friends • Enter or upload email addresses • Emails are only used for the Fall 2013 season and are never rented or sold • Recipients click a link and place their order • Option for Girl Scout to receive an email every time an order is placed

  19. Facebook Post to Profile • After registering for the QSP/Nut Online Program, then post to Facebook profile • Opportunity to reach broader network of family and friends • Any sales directly track to Girl Scout’s QSP/Nut Online Program Registration

  20. Nut-e Promises • When entering customer emails into the online ordering system, girls can choose “Nut Promises” for each customer. Girls can use the Nut Promises option to collect orders from customers she can deliver to. • If a girl cannot deliver the items, she does not have to choose the Offer Nuts option. • When the online customer orders nut or candy items, the girl adds those orders to her order card and delivers the products and collects the product payment.

  22. Girl’s Online Sales Report • This report is accessible in the QSP account • It needs to be generated the day the girl turns in her order card to the troop leader • This report will also automatically arrive to the email that is attached to the QSP account

  27. Delivery Day • SAC will notify troops of delivery day, time, and location • GSCI staff will provide as much advance notice as possible • Troops will receive recognitions when they pick up product

  28. Delivery Day Essentials The following items MUST be turned into your SAC on delivery day: • White copies of magazine orders • Address booklets

  29. Distribution of Products When distributing items to the girls in your troop, make sure the parents double check their girl’s order and sign a receipt. This verifies that they are financially responsible for every item on that receipt. This is important in case there is an outstanding balance that needs to be paid.

  30. Paperwork The following items MUST be turned into your local service center by December 2, 2013: • Parent Permission Slips • Outstanding Balance Forms and accompanying receipt documentation

  31. Finances • Money collection problems need to be reported on an Outstanding Balance Form (OSB) by December 2, 2013 and turned into your regional service center • Late payments are paid to the service center by the debtor-not the troop leader • January 3, 2014 is the last day to submit NSF checks for reimbursement • Loans made at any level will not be reimbursed by GSCI

  33. Troop Profit • Troop earns $1 profit per candy and nut item as well as Adopt-a-Soldier donations • Troop earns $2.50 profit for each completed Address Booklet • Troop earns $2.50 profit for each magazine subscription regardless if in paper form or completed online
