  1. Wireless power harvesting for cell phones Curt Liljeberg, Chad Kreye, Lisa Harris and Cortnie Goodrich

  2. A cell phone that never needs recharging might sound too good to be true, but Nokia says it's developing technology that could draw enough power from ambient radio waves to keep a cell-phone handset topped up.

  3. Ambient electromagnetic radiation–emitted from Wi-Fi transmitters, cell-phone antennas, TV masts, and other sources–could be converted into enough electrical current to keep a battery topped up.

  4. Sound Wave

  5. No need for power cord to charge phone • Elimination of multiple cords to charge multiple phones • Ease of charging, no need to be at electrical outlet • No need for AC/DC adapters

  7. Less efficient than using power cord • Metal objects can obstruct charging • Battery back-up needed if leaving power port zone • Limited distance of charging capability
