  2. Revelation 3:7-8 8 ‘I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.’”

  3. Open Doors Bring…

  4. Revelation 3:7-8 7“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this: 8 ‘I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.’”

  5. God has always desired opendoors for His people • John 10:9 • I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. • Revelation 3:20 • Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

  6. God has always desired opendoors for His people • Revelation 3:8 • ‘I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

  7. Jesus Opened the door because of their faithful deeds • They had keptHisWord. • They had not denied Hisname. • They had endureddifficulties because they were looking to Jesus.

  8. He doesn’t say they will have an Open Door for a dynamic ministry Because they had… • Powerful programs • A forceful preacher • Or a great location

  9. Faithfulness is the key! “because you have little strength,” (v8)

  10. Note how God does things • I Corinthians 1:27-29 • 27but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, 29so that no man may boast before God.  • He wants everyone to know the source of the power.

  11. “Church of 50 people desires hard working, Bible based preacher that is highly motivated to make a church grow…”

  12. Magic Bullet?

  13. Isaiah 31:1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,And rely on horses, And trust in chariots because they are many,And in horsemen because they are very strong, But they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the LORD!

  14. More impressive ad:

  15. “Church of 50 people looking for a preacher who loves God’s Word and won’t get in the way. A man who will encourage us in our prayer lives, who will teach us to share our faith. We want a man who will preach good sermons but won’t feel it’s his personal responsibility to do it all. We want a minister who will help us be ministers for our God.”

  16. God has set before us an opendoor. • Because you are faithful in prayer • Because you are faithful in ministry • Because you are committed to reaching hurting, lost people

  17. When we allow ourselves to be used by God, our smallstrength can accomplish greatthings!

  18. The old master & Young novice worked together to thrill the crowd!

  19. Don’t you want to play a newsong?
