  4. LT 1: Balance Refers to the visual equalization of the Elements of Art in an artwork. There are 3 types…

  5. LT 1.1 Symmetrical: A design or composition with identical or nearly identical elements on opposite sides of a dividing line or central axis. Also know as formal balance.The Taj Mahal Agra, India c. 1632 - 1648

  16. LT 2: EmphasisGenerally the first element or form seen in a composition. May be the lightest or darkest part of the composition. It is used to draw attention to an area or areas.   33. LT 10: Unity The appearance or condition of wholeness or oneness. Used to describe the feeling that all of the elements of art and principles of design are used effectively.

  37. Things to remember… • All of your compositions should be original and completely colored or shaded. • All of your compositions should fill the entire frame. • You must use 3 different media somewhere in the packet.
