  4. What needs to be done to register? • Within THS Attendance Boundaries • Complete the front and back of the blue form. • Forms will be handed out at Mtn. Sky on January 14th. • Turn blue form in to Mtn. Sky on Jan 19th. • THS Counselors will be at Mtn. Sky on January 20th to register students. • OUTSIDE the THS/GUHSD District • We are accepting variance requests this year. • Make an appointment to see Ms. Vazquez or call the attendance office for more information at 623-915-8912.

  6. 3 THINGS TO DO TONIGHT • Decide on the desired LEVEL of English, Science, and Math. • Decide on which 2 ELECTIVES you most want – and 2 you will accept if your first choice is not available. • Find at least one club/sport that you would like to participate in.

Diploma Options • Advanced Diploma-State University Requirements • 4 Credits of Math and English • 3 Credits of Social Studies and Science • 2 Credits of Foreign Language- Same Language • 1 Credit of Physical Education • 1 Credit of Fine Arts • 5 Credits of Electives Total of 23 Credits Maintain a 2.75 GPA or rank in top 25% of class

  11. Diploma Options • Honors Diploma-State University Requirements Additional Requirements • Maintain a 3.0 GPA or rank in the top 25% of class • Successfully complete 6 honors/AP credits -4 of 6 must be in Junior and Senior Year • Achieve an Exceeds score on at least two AIMS tests

  19. READING • READ 180 • COURSE DESIGNED TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ FLUENCY, COMPREHENSION, AND VOCABULARY

  20. Honors Classes • Offered in English, Math, Science. • Junior high teacher recommendation and high test scores are required for placement.
